Denise Morrison, President of Kraft Foods, recalls how her father helped educate their family of four daughters on the importance of leadership and other business related skills. These include:
- Responsibility - At a young age her father assigned job jars to each person and they were allowed to barter for the jobs but it required them to work together as a team for results.
- Education - Report cards in school were the score cards. Her father continually pushed an environment of continuous learning and reading.
- Merchandise Accomplishments - Share best practices because ideas build upon themselves when they are shared with others.
- Networking is Working - Constantly meet new people and share ideas.
- Use a Support System - You are not work a career by yourself and ask others to assist you since many are willing to help.
- Lead an Integrated Life - Bring the whole person to work and balance work and home.
