Seth Godin Webinar Jan. 15th 2008 - More of the Meatball
The Internet Strategy Forum has invited members to attend a complimentary webinar (January 15, 2008) featuring Seth Godin discussing his latest book “Meatball Sundae: 14 Trends No Marketer Should Ignore” and possibly receive a complimentary copy of the book as well.
On December 7th, MyVenturePad.com / Socialmediatoday.com hosted a webinar with Seth Godin and Jeremiah Owyang entitled “Using Social Media to Grow your Business. ” I know this a bit old but still good. Albert Maruggi, President at Provident Partners also did a bit of podcasting and blogging on the event over at their Marketing Edge site.
Godin gave an overview of his Meatball Sundae book at the Mixx Conference in NYC this past fall. My wife even watched this video and commented positively. Watch the interview to see for yourself.

I agree this was worth more than the price of admission :). I live blogged this webcast. It was kind of spur of the moment but I’d like to share how it happened because it’s a great illustration of how social media can work.
I was in Lund’s parking lot in Highland Park and I got a Tweet to my phone by Jeremiah Owyang (pronounced Ow-Yang, not O’Yang, he’s not St Paul Irish) anyway, it said that the webcast would start in 30 minutes.
Excellent, I had forgotten about that and glad that I followed Owyang. I get my stuff rush home in time to fire up the webcast.
As it started it dawned on me to live blog it. Most of the time I do that at conferences, but why not a webcast? It worked out great, in fact Owyang was sending tweets and people were responding.
http://tinyurl.com/2oejfb That’s a link to the live blog of the highlights of the Using Social Media to Grow Your Business webcast. A title that I disagree with by the way, but hey it’s just a headline, can’t believe them all the time.
Thanks for the post Doug, see you soon.
