About
I always liked the quote by Scott Hirsch of MIG5, “Be like the Internet: Collaborative, Disruptive, and Networked.” Part of what I do on a daily basis involves a bit of all three. I am currently the VP of Internet Strategy and Corporate Development for IKANO Communications Inc. Our company is part of Insight Venture Partners in New York. Insight invests in Internet and new media services, application software, infrastructure software, and software enabled services (SaaS). Companies like Skinnycorp and DivX. My main role is leading our strategic relationship with Google as a GoogleApps provider. We hope to bring many organizations into the moblie/cloud computing era using social applications to connect employees and customers.
In the past, I have worked with companies on custom Internet and social solutions including Intel, Estee Lauder, Johnson and Johnson, McDonalds, and WildBlue. I have also worked on emerging media, IP applications, and Internet technologies since 1997.
My interests include innovation, culture shifts, enterprise 2.0, entrepreneurship, venture capital, connections, community, graphic design, and documentary film. I currently reside in Minneapolis with the family.
This site is a enterprise resource on subjects regarding new media, venture capital, network effects, and other emerging topics that are of use to me and hopefully to other new media related Internet Strategists. Feel free to connect and share your thoughts.
